This is a good book in a way if you have alot of imagination i think you would really like this book.I gave this book a 7 because it gets boring in the begining BUT once you read most of it.It gets more interisting after you read alot your like this is going in circle but its really just part of the story.

When I was little my nan used to read it to me and I started to think of her house as the large one where the borrowers live. It created a really special world for me then and although I'm way older now I think I need a memory like that to forget about modern life for a bit.

The very idea that the borrowers could live under the floorboards fills me with a funny feeling.I know that they aren't really real but the story brings them to life. What I think is great is that the borrowers use things like paper as wallpaper. It's incredible to think that! All I can say is that I'm glad that Mary Norton wrote the book "The borrowers."

i like this book alot.it has alot of adventures that i wouold like to go through but i am not small like the borrowers in the book.the book is not like the movie that i have and it is not as exciting i don't think but it still is a little bit interesting because they meet a boy and in different books it gives you different endings and beginnings.i have not finished reading the book yet but i expect the book to have a lot more adventures for Arriety and that it will come out to be a great book because when you start reading one chapter of the book you just want to keep reading and reading the book and you don't want it to end.

I think this book was very good but I had to read it two or three times to understand everything because it has some quite difficult words. The story is great and I really enjoyed all of it. It is about three small people Arriety, Pod and Homely Clock. Arriety is a young girl and Pod and Homely are here mum and dad. Pod gets seen by a boy and then Arriety went with Pod and Arriety got seen by the same boy. The boy helps them from the cook and gives them new furniture and things from the toy house.

This book is about little people who live under the floor and behind a grandfather clock. They borrow things from the human beans and makes sure that they are not seen, that is why they are called the borrowers.
In this story Pod goes borrowing and is seen by a boy. Then he goes borrowing with his daughter arreitty, and then arreitty is seen by the same boy and starts to be friends.
I like this book a lot because it has a lot of excitment happening.
I think it would be cool to live underneath the floor and borrow things from big people
I find Areitty an intresting charater because she is adventurous and does brave things like being seen by a boy.
I would recommend this book because the borrowers have adventures and do brave things.

This book is about some small sized people called Homily, Pod and Arrietty Clock who live under the floorboards in a big house. This family once was rich but a flood came and washed everything away. This family thought they would live happily for their whole life until one sunny day, while Pod goes borrowing he is 'seen' by the 'boy'. In the story, one day when Pod takes Arrietty out to goborrowing, Arrietty is 'seen' by the 'boy' too.
In the story the 'boy' helps the Arrietty to send a letter to Uncle Hendrteary. The 'boy' gives things to the Clocks and tried to rescue them from Mrs.Driver the cook who is trying to catch all the Clocks.
I like this book because I have never thought of little people's life. The most interesting thing is that this family is very humorous and the little girl called Arrietty loves to go exploring.
I find Arrietty to be my favourite character. She is cute. She is cute. She is a kind girl. She loves to have company.
I will recommend this book to some grade two students so that next year, they will think about reading this book called The Borrowers.
