When we started reading it, we found it boring. But after Skin started beating Luke we were interested. At the end we loved it. Tom Bowler is really a genius. The sad thing is it would have been better if the dad of luke would still be alive then luke we reader would understand more about what luke is hearing. But how tim bowler wrote the book is still fantastic.

I think this book is very well written and thought out. My fav. part was when Luke played his piece at the concert that he mostly wrote himself, with part of the music his father 'gave' him. It took me a few hours to finish it. One thing I noticed was that it wasn't paticularly 'hypnotic', that I wasn't 'drawn into' the story. Perhaps it was because I read it in 3 parts. Anyway, it's a decent book, I liked the plot, * * * * stars! :D

this book was awesome, although, as an avid reader I couldn't honestly say that this was one of the best books I have ever read. However, it did inspire me to take up piano again.

This book is fab. I'm recommending this book to any one older then 9 years of age. My sister told me to read it because she wanted to share the expirience and her friends had not read it. i decided to give it a quick glance, my sister caught me reading the first page and started screaming. I didn't want to let her down so i read it. I have read the whole book now and i love it. I thank my sister for recommending this book to me so yeah. Thanx.

This book is the best! i have never read anything so moving. it makes you feel like your part of the story. I recommend this book to everyone! I haven't read any of Tim Bowler's other books but after reading this i am sure they will be great. I like the way Tim Bowler describes the story. every bit is as good as the rest! The creativity in this book is great too. i wish i could write like him!

This book was reaaly the best book i've ever read, i have read few books with teenage love but not like this. It is very emotional, full of love and i especially like how tim bowler puts a creative suspense and horror of how skin and the gang beat him up, it really gives a sense of horror and sadness. This book could be bad for some younger readers, especially at some few sentence, but it is worth while read this GREAT book.

Totally the best book EVER! I read this book for the first time when i borrowed it in the library. When I returned it, I just missed it so much that I bought it to keep so that I could treasure it forever. It's been my favourite book since. Starseeker has such a brilliant plot and a moving storyline. You just can't get enough of it!

An absolutely amazing book. The best book I've ever read. A mixture of all emotions makes it a truly fantastic book. Tim Bowler is my favourite author and his childhood is practically like mine. Starseeker is definately the best book that he has written so far and I hope he continues to write more breath-taking stories.

I really loved this book! It is my favorite of all Tim Bowler's work because of the realistic way all the issues are treated. The relationships are really worked on and the characters are so life-like! When you finish the book, you get upset because you feel you know the characters so well that its like your leaving a friend you know you will never see again! All the ingredients of a great book!

I think this book is a decent one for it has a good story line which is a vitle point in a book. It has alot of descriptive writting espesially the way it describes the sound that luke hears, also the way in wich it gets you to like the charecters. Thogh it dose not let you know what happens after to his mother and roger yet i think it still will leave the reader wanting more. I recommned this book to all ages, including the old.

I simply adore classical music, and sometimes I think that I can hear sounds too, but not really like in the book. I play the piano too, you see, and I do believe that I'm gifted in it. I've just done my grade five, but I definitely didn't do as well as Luke would have done. It was lovely. I was totally entranced by Starseeker and was reading it until 4:00am last night/morning. Nothing could stop me from reading it, and it was so mystifying, reading through the book of mysterious events happening to a mysterious boy. I totally recommend it, 100%!

Starseeker is a great book and it really makes you feel as if you are there watching it all happen. I know everyone says that but in this book it's actually true. You feel as if you have known the characters and shared experiences with them, which you have if you have read it. Starseeker is one of my favourite books ever, and that's saying something!

Has anyone read Mondays are REd by Nicola Morgan? It's also about a boy with synaesthesia, but is more or less a psychological thriller/fantasy cross. The writing is far more poetic than Starseeker and the plot more gripping because it plays around with the nature of reality.

a friend lent me this book. i didnt think it would be all that interesting but as the story progressed i found myself caught up in it as if i were Luke(the main character. It was really fascinating with a touch of magic and also adventure. it contains real life situations such as bullying and family problems. this is an excellent book and i would advise it to anyone between the ages of 9 and 15.

This is a really, really good book. It's about a boy named Luke, who can play the piano because he has good hands. Since he has good hands, Skin and his gang use Luke to find this box in mrs Little's house. The people all hate mrs little because she's very ugly. Luke discovers there is something very unexpected in the house. Read on to find out more. It is so good! The characters are great in the story! Especially the mother because she kind and understands about Luke.
