I read Skellig in English class. I thought it was quite good but most of my friends thought it was rubbish.David Almond created a lot of tension and made good use of the 5 senses. I dont think i have a favourite part, but all of it was good. I think i would recommend this book to good readers in Year 5/6 and also Year 7's (which i am).

I think Skellig is brilliant because when I read it I think I'm in that story. It's very involving because when I started reading it I just don't want stop reading. Skellig is original because I never get very involved in book reading because other books were never so involving like Skellig. Skellig is unforgettable I never forget this story so breath-taking because there was baby who got operation I thought she was going to die. There were many pages where there was nothing about baby. I can't stop thinking about baby going to die or not. I think Skellig is an angel and magical because at the end ... My recommend: YOU SHOULD READ IT!!!

I thought this book was absolutely fab because it is just fun to read a book like that it is like a magical adventure but I have to admit it was not the best book i ever read because there are just some boring parts which i think they could have easly changed to ACTION AND ADVENTURE!!!!But still it was a pretty good and i would recomend anyone that is reading this review to goto the libary and rent the book quickly!!!My favorite bit of the book is the part when Mina and Michael go to the wrecked house and skellig is not there but they realise that he has climbed the stairs and he is still in a bad condition and should not really walk. Also it is very graphical because thay do put swearing in and usualy everyone swears so it is very real life.Just one more thing RENT THIS BOOK!!!!!!!

No Offence to david almond but this book was very boring at the begining and at the very end when they give the baby a name i thought it should have heen something more relevant than just joy. if you wouldnt have read past the first 5 chapters then you would have had a terrible impression but in the middle and in the las quarter of the book i think it was a very exciting read i couldnt put it down for quite a while

Skellig is a book that tells a unique story. The beginning, is not gripping because it is complicate and not understandable. Surprisingly the closer I got to the end of the book the more intense the story got, everything was falling into place. Skellig a strange, mystical, and magical creature was coming to life. That is why I recommend it to English teachers teaching 6th. I don’t recommend this book for older readers or younger readers. It’s a marvelous story afterwards. After reading the whole book, the story is finally very touching and unforgettable. It’s strange and mystical creature is a unique and fascinating. I am disappointed because Skellig does not know what he is and where he is going to go. Even if David Almond Skellig to had a sad ending and die, I wanted to know what happens and who is the extraordinary creature: Skellig.

This is truly beautiful and highly emotional for you and it’s about two lads called mina and Michael who have moved house .If you like adventure books this is the one you should start looking for to read. Michael has a new baby that is ill and needs to go to the hospital. He goes into a crumbly garage and soon finds a body or a thing or beast of some sort that he has no idea about covered in dead bluebottles and spiders’ webs. He thinks it could be dead. He tells mina and shows her the body and it says it is called Skellig it starts talking. Its no like other book because it is so beautifully and brilliantly written. It is a book that nobody will forget. They think it is an angel but still not sure. But Michaels life is temperedly on a “hold” with a new baby lives from damaged heart or not. In fact Michael wants to help his baby sister that in return he wants gentle care and concern witch he has been doing with Skellig and even Skellig is able to help the family. But is Skellig an angel or is he gust an old man who doesn’t know what to do with his life? He looks like a kind of form of an angel. It was fun to read it. I want to know more about skellig. I really recommend this story to people because this book teaches us how to care about others. This is a classic and very good bookend to think that David Almond created this

I was initially grabbed in first half of Skellig, which we had to read in English class. The friendship between Michael and the girl Mina felt very outstanding to me although the crippled creature Skellig slammed question after question against my head which was the main reason I kept turning pages. Skelligs turned characteristics seemed wierd to Michael, as they equally did to me, and so I could easily slip into his position and his point of view. The reason I was not happy with the Book was the ending. Its try to build up a delightfull scenery reached me as simply silly. I will recomend the book people who like a boiling mixture of real life and fantasy. Not to others though.

"Skellig" by David Almond is a heartfelt tale, beautifully written. A breathtaking read, beginning wîth a startling mystery, when Skellig, a crippled angelic creature is discovered by a young boy, totally alien to this world. Especially capturing was the friendship developing between the introverted Micheal and flamboyant spirit of Mina, a young girl living next door. Although Almond has managed to produce an authentic lyrical tale with great philosophical depth, there is a lack of action and tension delivered through the pages. In my opinion, the character of Skellig, unique and faithful as it is, provides a suitable base for a second edition of the book, diving deeper into the complex personalty of Skellig. It simply seems to me that there is more to be discovered in this mysterious soul. The story enchantes the reader, clinging to you and not letting you go.

Hello folks. The book is about a young fellow who finds a strange creature in his rumbled garage. Well, I think the book Skellig is good because the author David Almond used a lot of adjectives. He also uses a lot of description like "Everything was packed in tight- ancient furniture, kitchen units, rolled-up carpets, pipes and crates and planks." I specially like Micheal the young fellow because he is not scared to go out of the house in the night. He also fed this creature with chinese take away left overs. With his friend Mina they try to solve the mission to find out what or who that could be. At the end I would recommend this book to children in my age because it is very well written for our age and it is ecxiting to read. You would always like to read on and you never get bored.

David Almond’s book Skellig is about a boy named Michael who finds a man in his new house’s garage. Michael is intrigued by this man and speaks to him,but Skellig is grumpy and very timid though he would never admit it. Michael’s newborn baby sister is having difficulties and the whole family is stressing and trying to improve the house so the baby can have a better environment to live in. The dust is making it worse though and everyone is scared she may die. David Almond does not use suspense, and though it is a good storyline he fails to attend to this by making you want to read on. He also needs to go into more detail so you get a clear picture in your head of what’s happening. He shouldn’t of used such short chapters and gone into more detail over a wider spread of pages than 2-4. The book is also very unrealistic and David Almond makes a poor attempt at making you feel that it is real, and possible for such a thing to happen. He also tries to make it emotional and deep, but whilst doing this he loses your attention and makes you bored of the subject. Overall I don’t like Skellig because i think the author struggled to make this book interesting for younger readers.

Skellig really does touch your heart, as it takes real life, emotional aspects and blends them with suspense and fantasy. It shows Michael's families troubles involving the baby's health, Michael's feelings on moving away from his friends and how he and his newfound friend, Mina, react to this discovery.

It was a good book it was filled with detail and expression. There is so many questions you ask yourself when reading Skellig. I think the characters told you the story the most. Michael was constantly asking questions and Mina she was very arty and into nature especcially birds. Skellig is ver peculier in this story. You'll find out why when you read this book. Did you know? The name Skellig and Michael came from a place inIreland called Skellig Michael. David Almond is the other i reckon he's very good at writing childrens books so maybe have a look on hkis website davidalmond.co.uk to see loads of other books he's written and biography. Please read this book it's amazing. HONESTLY!

This is an extraordinary classic and powerful book. The detail in this book is pin-pointed to bullseye. David Almond a brilliant author with an outstanding imagination. It's almost like he lives in imagination land. This book is an inspirational must have. David Almond winner of two thoroughly deserved awards, The whitbread children's and The Carnegie medal. I loved the whole book. David Almond has put so much detail into this book that he relies on your imagination to determime what Skellig looks like. I did think the ending drifted away a bit but it's still a classic. This book is clearly a best seller.

I have just finished reading the novel Skellig. I believe that Skellig is an appropriate name for the creature, as it is named after the Skellig Islands. Skellig, in the novel, is a magical creature, and he may well even be an angel, as on Skellig Islands, they say that heaven and earth meet, as to let the angel visit earth. David Almond could have named the creature Skellig, as to give the subtle hint that Skellig is an angel, or it may have just trying to convey the message that Skellig is magical, as he is named after the magical Skellig Islands. If I were to choose five adjectives to describe the novel, I would use the following ones: UNIQUE: becuase it is different to any other book I have read PROFOUND: because the whole book is about understanding and knowing UNREALISTIC: because it is not likely that you will find a creature as beautiful as Skellig in an old rundown garage. Although it is realistic, i enjoyed it thoroughly. UNUSUAL: because of the creature Skellig, and the many hidden messages in it POWERFUL: because is is backed up by many William Blake poems, and powerful meaningful quotes by Mina.I have to say that this is the most facinating book i have ever read! It's so interesting, there is so much clues around in the air that you really have to be reading it , or else you woul've probably not understand it , and it will be boring. But anyways, i loved the way they descrived SKELLIG at first. It made him look like a monster that was going to kill you and drink your blood or something, but at the same time the way that Michael trusted him, it made you confused, because you will probably be thinking, to not trust him and let him (dye) there like he wanted, but at the same time Michael trusted him so much that it made you think that maybe he was a nice person.I love MINA she's such a great character, i love her thinking about WILLIAM BLAKE, i will love to be like her, so into nature and know everything, not be scared of anything. Well i really recommend this book to everybody that like's kind of mystery type of books.Well you have a great day, dude, ROCK ON!

I also liked is the suspicion of when Michael touched Skellig's back and felt something like a backpack but wasn't really and when he left and kept on asking himself if Skellig was really an angel in the garage.

When he died, he died without sadness but with happiness. In all, it lacked some enthusiasm, but still, it was a great book to read. I enjoyed it very much.

I thought this book was confusing at first but when i re-read it i could remember the key points for my english review that had to be in the next monday. I give this book an 8 out of 10 because when i was reading it with my english set it seemed like a confusing plot and i was confused all the rest of that week as to who skellig was. DAVID ALMOND IS GREAT!

I think the story rating should be 9.5 and the illusrations rating should be 0.This book was well written. I enjoyed it (it was adictive). I personally thought Skellig was some kind of diformed monster. I thought Skellig was going to hurt Micheal or Mina. I dont call my friends things like Leaky and Coot! You will have to read the rest of the book to find out what happens next. I would recommend this book with a age range between 12-15. I gave the story a rating of 9.5 because its not my cup of tea but it was still very good. I was going to give it a rating of 9 but I thought I would be generous and give it a 9.5 story rating. I only gave the illustraions rating 0 because the book I read had no illusrations whatsoever. I think Skellig is anorexic because all he can eat is bluebottles and flies

When i first saw the book cover i though it was extremely boring but when i read up to the second chapter i found quite interesting. Every word made me get into the book more. When i reached the fifth chapter i got so much into the book that i didn't want to put it down for a second. When i read the blurb of the book i found it more interesting. You can't test the book unless you read it for yourself.

I rhought it was realy dicusting on the bit it said he took the bluebottle of him and ate it I also feel sorry for Micheals baby sister in it because she is sick in the story and is nursed by nurses in the hospital.

A highly skilled work of art by David Almond. As he has done in the past he has weaved a story that leaves his readers spell bound. It is intresting to finally see a character that actually expresses feelings that some would clearly surpass. Although most of the story is shaded in the gloom and dispear the whole book seems to lift your feeling and enlighten you on the sense of hope and emotion. A very good read for both young and old, I fully recommend the book to all readers who can't seem to find "thier" type of book.

When micheal sees him he finds him in the garage , his face covered in dust and webs. His face is thin and pale , micheal thought he was dead at first . He also sounds week and not very strong with his legs stretched out and was thin and pale. Hes tucked away in the garage , hidden and was covered in dust and webs. David Almond is bringing him in with tense , and not talking about him much , the word him is not enough detail so we describe him as a creature. There are hints that skellig might be a bird , owl pellets and the wings. skellig influences mina and michael in many ways . Because of skellig mina and michael take more intrest in learning about birds. I love this book so far , I havnt read it all yet , but im taking in all the infomation about skellig to find out what creature it is . It might be my best book so far .

im from spain and im reading this book at home. maybe my english is nott very good but i think i should try. instead of a book review im doing a dercription on Skellig and on Michael.. The main characters are, Skellig, Skellig has a squeak voice. His face is pale as dry plaster and his black suit hung like a sack on his thin bones. He eats bluebottles and spiders. He always moans so Michael can give him 27 and 53. He Lough but he never smiles. He says he is from nowhere and that he is nobody. His fingers are twisted and stunted and his knuckles are swollen, few grey hairs on his chin, pale face, red tiny veins like a dark net across the whites of his eyes. He smells of dust, old clothes and dry sweat. Also Michael is another important character. He was looking forward to move of house, at first it was going all wonderful but then all changed. The only person Michael can confide in is in Mina. Michael is based in David when he was a child. Michael is plunged into a world unfamiliar to him, And along with these changes comes a lot of new emotions, probably emotions that Michael has never had to deal with previously being an only child. Michael is a very respectful person and cares a lot about his friends and family.

I think this book is lovely and supremely illaustrated. On chapter 1, it goes straight into the fascinating story. It has a lovely storyline and is affective on all ages. This book comes out from the most mysterious places, from a garage to a tramp then into an angel. You can really tell how Michael is feeling. It is very formal and has great use of languge. It also makes the reader think about what he is doing there. David Almond can make writing come to life, after all this book is very affective. From chinese takeawys to wings, this is a book of a lifetime!

When Michael moves into his new house, he realizes that there will be many changes that he will have to get used to. He will have to adjust to sleeping in a new bedroom, attending a new school, and making new friends. Much to Michaels surprise, he also must deal with staying away from the dilapidated garage that is located behind his familys home. Both of his parents have warned Michael to stay away from the deteriorating structure, but Michael cant wait to explore the unknown! Michael feels as though exploring the cluttered garage is like entering the world of the unknown. He hears strange noises and seeks many obscure things. Much to his surprise, he is introduced to a creature that is beyond imagination! Is this creature human? Will Michael make the choice of sharing his new finding with his family? Skellig is a creative novel that forced me to look at life from a different perspective. Are there other life forms on our planet that humans are not aware of? After reading Skellig, I felt as though this might in fact be a possibility. Any reader who takes the opportunity to read this novel will enjoy discovering what the unknown could really be like.

Skellig by David Almond is a FABULOUS book. It is one of the best ones I have ever read. David Almond knows how to skilfully hook readers in with his suspense and description. I think it is a Great book for everyone to read, though I think you'll enjoy it more if you're above 8. I really liked skellig, because even from the beginning when Michael asked him to pray for his little sister (sick) even though at that time Skellig was pessimistic then, he agreed to pray.

The cliffhangers make you want to carry on, its so extreme, David almond has created a good book, it may not be my choice of story, however i really did enjoy it.

Skellig was, in a way, a little bit confusing and awkward. Mostly, because I never really thought a crazy person with wings would be in a cramped shed, eating beetles and asking for takeout. But, the story was interesting. The idea of an 'angel' was kinda cool. I wouldnt have thought one would look like that, though. But hey, you never know, right? Besides, it's a story. :D

i was made to read it @ school and i am not a fantasy fan so did not enjoy it that much,i think its more aimed at 10-12 year olds. him finding skellig was just about exceptable but when michael and mina aslo got wings was just too much, however the fiction side of it was quiet good, the baby storyline was the only thing that got me threw the book wich is bad as i no hav 2 write an essay on it... due 2morrow... ooops

Recently i've been thinking about that book that opened my mind, over the years I forgot the name of that book and I haven't read it since, remebering what I could of it I put it in a search engine and came to this site. MY BOOK REVIEW! Skellig is an unusual creature that lived in a torn down garage, in the bottom of a garden, behind a house belonging to a family with a young boy called Michael. Michael lives in a quiet street next door to a nice, home school girl called Mina. The house that Michael moved into was recently had an old man who died under the table. Michael is a very respectful person and cares a lot about his friends and family. Especially for his sister, Joy. Mina is a spoilt selfish person sometimes and only cares for her mother and people she knows. Skellig is a caring, loving person who thinks of people before himself.

Book Review of Skellig Skellig is an interesting book. The book is about a family who moves into a house, which needs to be redecorated. They have a very sick daugter called Joy.Arourd the back in the wrecked garden is a garage which is basically falling down. One time Michael went in and found a man in a black tuxedo called Skellig.Michael [the main character] secretly takes food to Skellig, [the man in the garage] because Skellig is unable to get his own. Later in the story Michael meets Mina his neighbour.Michael takes Mina to see Skellig.Michael and Mina take Skellig to a safe house ... I think Skellig is a fascinating book, because it kept me pushing to read on.I would rate this as a7+,because it does have a few swear words in.

The book Skellig is a very interesting book about a boy called Michael who had moved house and found a man called Skellig (who is not a normal human) in a garage. It is also about Michaels ill baby sister who has to go to hospital. The story has four main settings: the wrecked garage, Michaels friends (Mina) house, an old house, and Michaels house. The book is about the two children trying to move Skellig to the old house and away from danger. I think that it is a very interesting book because it has sad and good parts such as when Michael thought the baby was dead.

Skellig is written by David Almond , the main characters are Michael, Skellig, Mina and Michaels sister. It is about a boy called Michael whos mum has a baby girl who is very ill. The family move to a new house with a garage which could collapse at any time. Michael finds a mysterious creature called Skellig who wants no help and waits to die. Michaels neighbours daughter finds out about Skellig and joins in with Michael to help him. Michaels baby sister is very ill in the book. I think there are lots of ways which the story links together. The age range is 10-12.

Book review on Skellig This is a book review about Skellig written by David Almond. The main events were that Michael moved into a house, the house and garden was a mess, his baby sister became ill. In the garage of the house there was a man, Michael and Mina tried to persuade him to move out of the garage because the builders were coming and they were going to knock it down. The story is mainly set in Michaels house and garage but also it is set in Minas house. The characters are mainly realistic apart from the man- Skellig in the garage. The theme in the story is mainly birds and things that fly and how people think we evolved from them. In conclusion I think Skelling is an amazing book and David Almond is a super author Vicky

A book review on Skellig The Author of this book is David Almond, and this book is an adventure story. This story is about a boy named Michael who is about 12 years old. He and his family move house just after Michaels baby sister is born, but unfortunately the baby is extremely ill. Michael found a strange creature in the garage named Skellig. Michael made friends with a girl called mina his next door neighbour. They began to share secrets and mina showed Michael a secret place in a attic full of owls. So Michael showed Mina Skellig. They both helped Skellig to get better and stronger. They moved Skellig to the owls in the attic as well. When Michaels baby sister had to have a heart operation Skellig ... I think this book has a great story very magical but sometimes there is a bit too much description. I give this book 7 out of 10. I would recommend this book to any one who really believes in angels and magic.

Skellig This book was brilliant because David Almond, used great places to set the scene. For instance the broken dirty garage ready to claps to the ground. Michael didnt know what was in there and one time he decided to go in there and discover a human looking creature with odd shoulder blades and arthritis. I thought that the DANGER house was a very good setting because tension was building when Mina and Michael walked into the house through the creaky floorboards. The characters where great and realistic to most people. The ideas of the ill baby and no sight of Skellig at the same time were hard to think. From my point of view I give this book 9/10 it was great fun.

A Book Review Of Skellig I think the book of Skellig was boring because its not my type of book or in other words its not my type of genre. But different parts of the book were quite funny. I also didnt like it because I didnt understand some of the words from the book and I also didnt understand little sections of the book. I also found it boring because it kept repeating 27 and 53. I think Skellig was described really well as the other characters were not described as well. Two of the main points are when Michael found Skellig in the garage also when the baby became ill. David Almond wrote Skellig.

The main idea and moral of the story is that if you help someone that not only will you feel good and kind-hearted that it will probably come back your way and you will be helped yourself. As they say one good turn deserves another. This book challenges the reader in many ways, showing both sides of an aurgument to showing how everything has a consequence, good or bad. Its a fantastic mythical read to baffle your brains or send chills up your spine!

A book review of SKELLIG This book review is about the book (story) SKELLIG. The plot of the story is someone called SKELLIG;...It is about a family that has moved into a new house, their garage is described to be dirty and whilst SKELLIG was helping the family he was living in there. Michael (the son of the family, the main character) had a baby sister called Joy; and she had to stay in hospital for a very long time. But in the end she returned home safely. The setting; is known to be very dirty and dusty in the garage. It describes what its got in there and what it looks like. In the house it tells you what it looks like, before they started decorating. The only main character was Michael who had a friend called Mina; and she would help SKELLIG by giving him 27 and 53. Theyre were also the mum and dad of Michael; and his baby sister Joy. This story was a good one, which had a lot of description in it. A lot of description in a story makes it more intresting to read.

He then made a friend called Mina, both they visit Skellig to comfort him because he had Arthritis. Michael brought Skellig 27 and 53 from the Chinese take away to cure him. Skellig is a fantasy fiction book about a sort of guardian angel. The plot is based around someone who has a problem, then finds something or someone mystical then the object or creature does something to help. The place settings are mostly scary, old or vandalised in someway to some people. The main place settings are Michaels garage where he finds Skellig, Michaels house, which is where he is doing repairs with his dad, minas front garden where most of the conversations go on, the house where they took Skellig and the hospital where his baby sister is. The characters are funny at times and show all emotions spaced throughout the whole book and they are very realistic giving the right responses and the right information. My conclusion to the book Skellig is it is a good book to read if you are aged between 10 and 20 years old and enjoy fantasy books. The book contains a variety of language skills such as connectives, tense, first person(second) and speech

Skellig Book review. This review is about a book called Skellig written by David Almond. I would recommend this book because you can really picture the characters in your mind and relate to them. The main characters are Mina a girl having home schooling, Michael a boy just moved into a new house and skellig a mysterious figure. The setting is a disused garage in Michaels back garden and a disused house those are the main settings. Quite simple but David Almond has described them perfectly... I recommend this book for 11+ and has some mild language in it.

Book Review On Skellig In this book review I will be informing you of my opinion about the David Almond book Skellig. I believe that Skellig is the most on the edge of your seat book I have ever read but on the other hand I think it is much to farfetched as ... In the book I adore how David Almond makes the characters sound so realistic and how well he describes the settings of the events. In my opinion Skellig is a very enjoyable book but only suitable for children over the age of 10 as there is quite a bit of rude and offensive words.

Book review on Skellig Skellig was a book which touched many feelings and had places where you wanted to laugh or cry. Michael had an ill baby sister who was in hospital with his mum. They had recently moved to a new house where Michael found an old man in the garage (skellig). As he found he found his feet around his new surroundings, he made a friend called Mina. They spent precious moments together, such as watching owls and making things... The settings are in gloomy places like old houses, garages and deserted lanes. Skellig was a good book and all ages would enjoy it. I recommend it to people who like emotional and scary genres in their books.

My book review on skellig! The book skellig was quite good the way they set the settings and the language wasn`t that hard. The book will be good for the age range of about 10- 15 if they had a adult with them just for encase there is any hard words. They way the author describes skellig and the attic is brilliant! It was brilliant the way the birds and wings and skellig popped up in different places in the book and then it all just linked! This was a very good book and hopefully the author will bring out some more books like skellig!

i think this book is one of the best i've ever read in school. we were reading it as a novel in school and it was just tremendous. it is kind of boring in the begginning but as the story unfolds it becomes better and better by the minute. it is a very touching and moving story full of funniness, sadness and the plot is very demanding. I'll recommend it to anyone aged 9-14 as it is sad and even might leave a tear in your eye!! definetly 9/10!! get it!

i think this was the worst book that has ever been written !! i am sorry to say such things !! david has written many good books but THIS ?? its soo slow and boring !! we are reading it in my school in yr8 and my teacher found this book in the library !! she read the blurb and liked the sound of it !! when we got 3/4 through the book in that lesson ( i am in the top class so we are very quick readers ) my teacher actually closed the book and asked whether we wanted to read a different book !! it is not pleasant to say such things but i simply can not tell a lie !!

I liked this book a lot, eventhough it was sad and sometimes quite depressing. When I was in Primary School a librarian introduced me to this book, but i didn't have enough time to read it, because I couldn't take it home and most of the class wanted to read it. Now I'm in secondary school I got it out of our school libary and had great fun reading it. Although i thought Skellig was an angel, he sometimes gave me the impression of a mix between an owl and a human.

I felt that the book came straight from the author's heart. It touched me the way only brilliant stories do. I find it strange, though, because Skellig loved chinese takeaway fom "27 and 53". Skellig also reminds me of E.T the movie, a bit, although other readers might find that pretty strange. I've persuaded my friends to read it and they loved it aswell! I rate this spectacular novel 11-10!

I think the book is really good because David Almond uses alot of describing words and it is good how Skellig changes. It is good how he uses alot of bird related things, like names of roads, names of Michaels friends, the owls, Skellig, mina, micheal flying. it is good to know thjat the baby lives. i like stories that have happy endings

I really like skellig because it is a book that makes you want to keep on reading. I wanted to keep on reading to find out if his sister lived or died and about what happened to skellig in the end. It had a happy and interesting ending that was really good.

I think it's the best book I'v EVER read!I like the way Micheals sister and Skellig mix together. It makes me think that maybe his sister hadn't left heaven, and her energy helped Skellig to return there, in one way they swaped homes. Mina I think has a creative mind and doesn't believe in being kept in one room allday, she thinks you learn better if you're free to have fun while you learn. At first I had mixed thoughts on what/who Skellig was, but as I read on I thought about how he'd been able to survive all the years he'd been there and if his form was a clash of angel and human. It was an interesting book to read and I'm going to read it again even though I've already read it three times!

I recently read this book in my english class and thought it was a great book. It is very intruiging, always making you want to read more. It also made me laugh, cry and worry as the way it was written makes you feel as if this is really happening. I would definatly recomment this book to anyone, any age.

Reading the book as part of my education degree,i felt that we were being degraded by asking to read a teenagers bookafter reading such intense stories and ideas. But i feel that it takes intelligence to understand i certnatly had to think in areas, But i enjoyed the book and had to read it al the way through before i could put it down. It was my pleasure to then have to do a presenation on the story showing education features.

Skellig really does touch your heart, as it takes real life, emotional aspects and blends them with suspense and fantasy. It shows Michael's families troubles involving the baby's health, Michael's feelings on moving away from his friends and how he and his newfound friend, Mina, react to this discovery.
