The book wasn't bad but the descriptions got to be a little long at times. Also it took a long time to get through the first couple of chapter's. I would recommened this book to people who like pirates and adventure storys.

Well, well, well! In my opinion, Treasure Island is a classic for a reason- but it IS extremely difficult to read :(. I was entertained by Long John's evilness, ruthlessness and brutality; but I thought the first part of the book was extremely dull. I totally disliked Mate Bill and, for me, the book didn't take me anywhere interesting because I couldn't relate to it very well; I didn't understand it some of the time and that annoyed me. I wouldn't really recommend it, but as a classic, I suppose everyone should get round to reading it. We have just finished reading it in English. But Guys, only read it if you feel insanely obliged to, or you're doingit at school; it's over-rated and boring... XxX

This book really did frustrate me because i didnt understand the hard old languages that were written in the book. I hated the ending of the story because you never really recieve some sort of a good feeling. I did learn that the main character , Jim becomes a loyal and responsible character though. Overall i didnt quite enjoy reading the "boring brick" but however i did fancy the plot. Now i have to write a chracter essay for Jim. But i dont know how im going to get all the information on to one sheet of paper.Personally i dont reccomend people to read this book if they are suppose to write an essay on it, but i do reccomend people to read this book if they are stranded on an island with nothing to do..

I thought the book was okay. It wasn't the great though it took so many words to explain on thing. Sometime's I had to look in the dictonary to understand what the heck it was talking about but other than that it was a good book, it helped to understand how things were back then when there were acctually pirates.

it was a good book but it took five chapters to explain something or someone. Over all this was a great book about pirites, the sea, and romance. Um wait scratch that last one.

what a classic and great plot! but the text might be a bit hard to understand, since the writing style is a little wordy. it's an exciting, swashbuckling story, filled with danger, adventure, and pirates!!! how i envy jim hawkins! i loved the muppets version of the movie! :D

I think this book is fabulous!I thoughtthis becuse it was full of adventure, death, excitement, and a little humor.I also thought the author had a strange but interesting desire to kill off his characters!I haven't read the whole book yet,but I have a dire need to find out what happens in the end. As dangerous as a kicking horse A hearty meal of biscuits
